St Mary The Virgin is a small church in a conservation village of Holford, Somerset at the bottom of the Quantock Hills (an area of outstanding natural beauty). Our church is open every day for visitors and parishioners to enter for quiet contemplation and prayer.
There has been a church here for over a thousand years and the church records go back to the 13C. The existing small church was rebuilt in the 19C and is well cared for. The bells are rung regularly. There is an excellent booklet for sale in the church entitled 'A Brief History of Holford' written by J. J. A Hayman detailing the history of the area.
